THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL “STALKER” is the only such festival in Russia, and one of very few film showings in the world, which is aimed at establishing a consciousness of legal rights among wide audiences by the use of film – and to encourage filmmakers to make movies about human rights.
The organizers of the Festival are the Guild of Russian Film Directors, and the Moscow Guild of Film and Theatre Performers.
The General Partner of the 'Stalker” Film Festival is the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation.
The Film Festival began in 1995 in Moscow and has been held annually since then, holding charitable, and social awareness events throughout the Regions of Russia.
The Film Festival welcomes audiences from the broadest of social audiences, university students and representatives of social organizations.
All of the film showings are ADMISSION FREE.
