The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation presents ‘Polish Theatre in Moscow’ Festival
The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation has set itself as the chief partner of a new theatre project, a festival dedicated to ‘Polish Theatre in Moscow’, put together as a joint project by the Golden Mask Festival and Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
The Festival will take place from the 1st -24th March 2011.
During the festival tour, the audience will have the opportunity to meet with the best and brightest examples of contemporary Polish theatre. Krzysztof Warlikowski (one of the most well-known names in Polish theatre) presents his large scale production ‘(A)pollonia’; Krystian Lupa presents the performance ‘Person. Marilyn’, already staged in a classical production; works by polish finest young directors will be gathered together - Grzegorz Jarzyna with ‘T.E.O.R.E.M.A.T’, Maja Kleczewska and ‘Babylon’ and Wojtek Ziemilski with ‘A Short Tale’. As well as that, Moscow’s performance group Liquid Theatre, who The Foundation has consistently worked closely with, will put on a joint venture performance with the the Komuna Warszawa.
